  2) We are losing more than 5,200 of our young graduates every year to better out-of-state job opportunities. -  (US Census / Deloitte Consulting)

  3) In 2005, Maine was ranked as the second worst state in the nation for economic activity. Hurricane-torn Louisiana was the worst.   -  (Federal Reserve Bank of Boston)

  4) Maine's state and local tax burden has been the highest in the nation since 1997.  - (Tax Foundation)"
